2 Samuel - Chapter 23

Here we see the "last words of David".  These include words which the Spirit of God gave to David.  There is a description of one who rules over men in righteousness - this description ultimately applies to Jesus - the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  He is described as

"the light of the morning when the sun rises".

This description of Jesus is echoed in the final chapter of the Bible - Revelation 22:

"“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
