2 Samuel - Chapter 24

Because of David's sin (in taking a census) a plague and death have come.

But on the third day (the end of the time appointed) salvation came from the Angel of the Lord - who was at the threshing floor of Aruanah the Jebusite.

Because of man's sin death has come into the world.  And on the third day, when Jesus is raised from the dead) salvation comes to the world.  And it should be noted that the threshing floor was on Mount Moriah, which would later become the site of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.
