2 Samuel - Chapter 8

In this chapter we read of David's numerous military victories, and we are told twice that "The Lord gave David victory wherever he went."

In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul says that the same thing can apply to us:

"Thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ."
