Exodus - Chapter 27

The detailed instructions for the tabernacle continue:

“You shall also make the court of the tabernacle.  For the gate of the court there shall be a screen twenty cubits long, woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver. It shall have four pillars and four sockets. All the pillars around the court shall have bands of silver; their hooks shall be of silver and their sockets of bronze."

Leaving the wilderness and entering the holy ground in the tabernacle could only be done through this one gate.

In the book of John (Chapter 10) we read another "I am" statement from Jesus, which shows us that this gate into the tabernacle shows us Him.

"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."
