Genesis - Chapter 1
This is the start of the Bible - and the start of our search for Jesus in the Old Testament.
It is often said that the book begins with the creation - but it begins before that. It begins with God. God was already there at the beginning. And in that first verse we are introduced to Jesus, because we are introduced to the triune God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three were present at the creation of the world. And in the very name God we are shown the plurality of the one God. The name used for God is Elohim. In Hebrew the "im" ending denote a plural (as in seraph and seraphim). The Elohim title for God is always represented in the plural, but grammatically acts as a single noun.
And so we have the first hint of Jesus in verse 1 of Chapter 1 of the first book.
