Joshua - Chapter 10
We have already seen links between this book, as Joshua occupies the promised land, and the book of Revelation, as Jesus occupies the world. There is another link today. The kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon have joined forces against Joshua. But by verse 16 they are fleeing:
"During the battle the five kings escaped and hid in a cave at Makkedah.17 When Joshua heard that they had been found, he issued this command: “Cover the opening of the cave with large rocks, and place guards at the entrance to keep the kings inside.""
And in Revelation 6 we read:
"Then everyone—the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy, the powerful, and every slave and free person—all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to survive?”
