Joshua - Chapter 11

The Kings in the North of Canaan are now seeing Joshua's victories, and they now join forces to fight against Joshua together.  The first of the main leaders is Jabin, King of Madon, who invites the other kings to unite.  And in verse 10 we read of the king of Hazor, who had been the head of all the Kingdoms.  These two are not natural allies, but they join together to confront Joshua.

Similarly we read of two leaders who join together against Jesus (in Luke 23):

"That day [the day of the crucifixion] Herod and Pilate became friends - before this they had been enemies."
