Joshua - Chapter 13
In verse 14 and also in verse 33 we are told that the tribe of Levi did not inherit any land - because God himself is their inheritance.
The priests of Israel came from the tribe of Levi, and as Christians are all called priests this description can also be applied to them.
In 1 Peter 2 we read a descriptions of Christians as priests:
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him - you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house^ to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
And in 1 Peter 1 we read of our inheritance:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
