Joshua - Chapter 14

In this chapter we read about one of the great heroes of the Bible - Caleb.  Caleb reminds Joshua that he has been promised the hill country around Hebron as his inheritance.  And at the age of 85 he is willing to trust the Lord to help him defeat the giants who live there.  Caleb is given Hebron, and that city later becomes one of the six  Cities of Refuge - a city of the Levites.  This in itself is a link to Jesus as the Cities of Refuge point to Jesus.

At the time Mary is told she is going to give birth to Jesus she visits Elizabeth and Zechariah.  Luke 1 says that this is in a town in the hill country of Judea, and it is probable that this visit was to Caleb's city of Hebron
