Joshua - Chapter 18
The country has now been brought under the control of the Israelites, and the Tent of Meeting (the tabernacle) is set up at Shiloh, where it will remain until the time of Samuel.
The Tent of Meeting is a sign of God's presence, and it is set up in a place with a Messianic name. The word Shiloh is generally used to refer to the place, but in Genesis 49 it is used in a Messianic prophecy:
"The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet,
until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people. Binding his donkey to the vine, and his donkey’s colt to the choice vine, he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes. His eyes are darker than wine, and his teeth whiter than milk."
