Judges - Chapter 18
In this chapter we read about the tribe of Dan, in the land of the tribe of Ephraim, and we see that they bring idolatry into the land.
There the Danites set up for themselves the idol, and Jonathan son of Gershom, the son of Moses, and his sons were priests for the tribe of Dan until the time of the captivity of the land. They continued to use the idol Micah had made, all the time the house of God was in Shiloh.
In the book of Revelation - Chapter 7 - we read a list of the tribes of Israel who are preparing Israel and the world for the return of Jesus:
From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed,
from the tribe of Reuben 12,000,
from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
from the tribe of Asher 12,000,
from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000,
from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
from the tribe of Simeon 12,000,
from the tribe of Levi 12,000,
from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000,
from the tribe of Joseph 12,000,
from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.
It is to be noted that both Dan and Ephraim are excluded from the list.
