Judges - Chapter 20
In this chapter there is a civil war, as the tribe of Benjamin fights against the rest of Israel, as a result of the acts in the previous chapter.
And as there is now a judgement on sin, reference to Jesus return.
The tribe to take the lead in judgement is Judah - the tribe that Jesus came from. As the sin is dealt with those dealing with it die - but victory comes on the third day (verse 30).
And the judgement does not result in the destruction of the tribe of Benjamin - six hundred men survived, and in verse 47 those men fled "into the desert to the rock". Even the guilty can flee to the rock for safety - and the rock is Jesus, who died when dealing with sin, and who gained victory on the third day.
