Judges - Chapter 4

In this chapter the commander of the Canaanite army, Sisera, had been cruelly oppressing the Israelites.  In verse 21 he is killed when Jael drives a tent peg through his temple.

The link to Jesus is found in Zechariah 10.   There we see a reference to the cornerstone; a well known reference to Jesus.  But immediately after that we see a reference to a tent peg.

"For the Lord of hosts will visit His flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as His royal horse in the battle. From him comes the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together."

Jesus is the ruler from the house of Judah; he is the cornerstone from the house of Judah; and he is the tent peg from the house of Judah.

God defeats his enemies with a peg driven into Sisera.  Through Jesus God defeats Satan with nails driven into Jesus' hands and feet.
