Leviticus - Chapter 2

The second offering is the Grain offering.  This is made fine flour and oil - a sort of bread.  And it must be made without yeast.  (Yeast, in the bible is used to represent sin).

In effect we have a sacrifice of an animal in the burnt offering and the sacrifice of bread in the grain offering.  It is hard to imagine the sacrifice of bread - until you remember that Jesus said in John 6 that he is the bread of life;  And at the last supper he told his disciples that the broken bread represented his body - given for them.  The grain offering definitely foretells Jesus.
