Leviticus - Chapter 22

Once again the rules are laid down on what animals are and what animals are not acceptable as sacrifices.  In verse 21 it says:

whoever offers a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the cattle or the sheep, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it.

In 1 Peter 1 it is made clear that Jesus fulfilled this:

And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
