Nehemiah - Chapter 4

As the people are rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem they work with a sword in their hands:

"Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me."

In Revelation 1 Jesus is described and the description includes a reference to a sword:

"He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength."

Jesus' words are our sword, and as we carry out our work we need to hold on to this sword.
