Numbers - Chapter 32

Verse 23 contains a phrase that has entered into common usage:

"be sure your sin will find you out"

This truth lays at the centre of Jesus plan for redemption of the world.  Jesus himself said (in Luke 8, verse 17) there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

And while all have sinned this truth that all sins will be revealed is not the final word - for in John's first epistle he reminds us that if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, [Jesus] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
